Game the Eighth: Caption Contest {3}

We do apologize (with hand on lip) that this one is so late!  Miss Marianne and I both forgot until late last night, at which point I was in bed and it wasn't her turn to choose the picture.  :P  So we are very sorry for the delay.  Since you have been deprived of one day in which to submit captions, we are extending the submission deadline to Saturday, February 9th at 5 PM (CST). A winner will be announced later that evening.

As for the other rules, you all know the drill by now, we suppose-- and if you do not, simply click the "caption contest" tag below this post and you'll see the rules in other posts.

  1. Elizabeth: "Mr. Darcy, are you aware that Mr. Collins is standing behind you?"

    Sorry, I'm not very good at caption contests. :/ It was the best I could come up with. :)

  2. Darcy: Roses are red, violets are blue
    Lizzy: My flowers, Mr. Darcy, are for Wickham, not you!

  3. Only one caption? Because I have two rolling around in my brain. Well, I'll submit the one that seems the most clever to me.

    Mr. Darcy: "Really Miss Bennet you have done your hair in so very odd a way that I cannot keep my eyes from it! I never saw any thing so outré! Those curls! Is it an Irish fashion?"

  4. Elizabeth: Mr. Collins has a twin
    Darcy stares at her unbelieving as Mr. Collins starts to slink away

  5. Mr Darcy: 'Thank goodness, Miss Bennet, that you have curbed your country manners enough to find acceptable wear to such a grand ball. Six inches of mud do NOT become fine eyes."

  6. Darcy: "Willougby? Jennifer, this is Pride and Prejudice... It's Wickham."

  7. Mr. Darcy: Does your cousin not enjoy dancing?

    Lizzy: No, he enjoys it very much. But at the moment, I believe he is seeking to hide from Lydia.

  9. I know the contest is over but I just wanted to add.

    Elizabeth (In her best voice impression of Darcy that she can muster of course): She is tolerable I suppose, but not handsome enough to tempt me. (then in her normal voice) Perhaps Mr. Darcy, you might inform me as to what I have done to sufficiently tempt you since then, that I might prevent it from happening again in the future.

"I believe we must have some conversation, Mr. Darcy. A very little will suffice."
~Elizabeth Bennet, episode two

We must have YOUR share in the conversation! Do please leave us a comment, because we would simply love to hear from you. Comments are a happy thought indeed--we ask only that you keep your conversation civil, God-honoring and family-friendly.
